Paid In Plaid

There’s something about some Air Jordan Infrared 6’s and a red plaid shirt that screams stylish. I reckon the most unfashionable individual could rock this ‘fit and still look trendy because it’s such a banker. Throw on some black fitted jeans with rips at the knee’s and you have a casual look that most people will admire.

I got the plaid shirt from a Zara collection 2 years ago. The jeans are from Topman and the kicks are courtesy of Air Jordan. The grey tee which is one of my favs is from COS and goes with just about anything.

Over Sized T-shirt’s & London Scenery

I recently hit up Central London (as usual) and decided to pass through Mount Street to do some shopping. If you haven’t been Mount Street I recommend it because the streets are clean, elegant and has shops such as Go Yard, Christian Louboutin, Balenciaga and Marc Jacobs to name a few.

Although I didn’t up buying anything, I managed to take some dope snaps above in my Aqua varsity bomber, ADYN over sized tee and Air Jordan black/cement 3’s. “I call it a t-shirt, they call it a dress. So I tell them don’t address me unless you can dress.”

Air Jordan VI | OVO Edition

Drake-Air-Jordan-6

Around April this year there were rumours swirling around that Drake and his OVO camp had collaborated with Air Jordan on a special edition of the Jordan 6’s.

Well that rumour looks to be true as more photos have surfaced of the sneaker. The colour way resembles the Defining Moments Pack but with a few tweaks including the OVO owl logo on the back. Without a doubt 2014 is the year of the 6’s and I’m not complaining as they are my favourite Jordan model ever created.

Air Jordan 6 | Brazil World Cup

One of my favourite ever Air Jordan’s has to be the Jordan 6’s. I believe the infra-red model is one of the best sneakers of all time so for them to do an iconic World Cup colour way for the competition in Brazil this year is a huge deal IMO.

The Jordan brand doesn’t really associate with football so this is expanding on new territory and you can bet your last fiver that these beauts will be worth a lot in years to come. A release date hasn’t been announced but with the tournament in June, it’s going to be pretty soon I reckon.

The First Look At The Jordan Shine

Air Jordan’s have been dominating modern urban fashion culture across the world over the last few years. The retro re-releases have become so popular that people queue days in advance to to get their hands on a pair of the latest silhouette.

In recent years however there has been a demand for high-end sneakers thanks to the likes of Kanye West wearing Balenciaga’s and Christian Louboutin making innovative designs. This has lead the creative team over at Air Jordan to come up with a high-end design called the “Jordan Shine“. Above is the first look and straight away you can see that they’re modeled on the Jordan 1 silhouette.

At first glance they look OK but I’ll have to see what the fit is like when someone has tried them on.

My Top 5 Sneakers That Will Be Big In 2014

A new year but the same sneaker fetish for the real foot wear lovers world wide and I myself have been rubbing my mixed race hands together in anticipation for the beauts that will dominate urban/contemporary culture this year.

2013 was a great calender year for footwear comebacks and modern triumphs as Black Timberland’s proved to be necessary, Balenciaga’s became royalty and Jordan’s won on every retro they managed to release. This year though the game will change and modern designs mixed with classics are set to take center stage, so I’ve predicted the 5 sneakers that will be big in 2014 in no particular order.

Drake Joins Air Jordan Brand

drake-jordans

The rumours are indeed true. Following Kanye West’s departure from Nike, Drake has joined Nike’s subsidiary brand Air Jordan. He announced the news on stage during the Portland stop of his tour and the Jordan brand also announced it via Twitter.

This comes as a shock to me. Drake has publicly worn Jordan’s on many occasions but partnering with them when he isn’t seen as a taste maker on the fashion front is strange. Either way this is another power move for Drizzy.
