Buscemi 50 mm Low-Top Sneakers

In terms of high-end sneaker break throughs it’s fair to say that Buscemi has definitely made its mark over the last 18 months. The Buscemi 100mm high tops have become a modern classic with sneaker fans since their inception and have gone from strength to strength.

Although I’m still as yet to own a pair myself, these are sneakers that should definitely be in any footwear enthusiasts wardrobe. Handcrafted in Italy from the finest Italian calf leather, Buscemi introduces its very first low-top. The 50mm features iconic puffy seams on the vamp and heel counter, and a diagonal facing leather zipper pull just under the logo on the upper.

Buscemi | Spring 2014 125mm Sneaker Collection

if you recall, Buscemi was one of my sneakers to watch for 2014 but at the time, their 100mm silhouette was the only one on the market. Since then the brand has done a number of collaboration models and has now revealed their brand new 125mm sneaker for the world to admire.

I really like the design of this particular sneaker. Drawing inspiration from Hermes birkin bags, they have full leather lining and of course the signature ankle detail and lock that we have all come to appreciate.

nike-debuts-the-new-air-max-lunar90-1 text

A new year but the same sneaker fetish for the real foot wear lovers world wide and I myself have been rubbing my mixed race hands together in anticipation for the beauts that will dominate urban/contemporary culture this year.

2013 was a great calender year for footwear comebacks and modern triumphs as Black Timberland’s proved to be necessary, Balenciaga’s became royalty and Jordan’s won on every retro they managed to release. This year though the game will change and modern designs mixed with classics are set to take center stage, so I’ve predicted the 5 sneakers that will be big in 2014 in no particular order.

En Noir x Buscemi 100mm | Leather High Top for Barneys New York

Aesthetic ecstasy is the phrase that comes to mind when I look at these bad boys. En Noir have collaborated with the most sort after sneaker brand in the game right now Buscemi for this limited piece for Barneys New York.

The sneakers feature laser-cut croc-pattern leather, a matching black padlock at the heel and a padded tongue that features a “Buscemi EN” leather logo patch. Everyone has been after the original Buscemi 100mm but these are just as nice.

Buscemi x Colette | The Navy Vignette

Buscemi have been making major wave this year with their unique sneaker designs. A lot of footwear enthusiasts like myself have been searching for some innovation in design and Buscemi have definitely supplied that with their 100mm that came in 3 colour ways.

Now they have joined forces with french fashion store Colette for a new collection that includes these 125MM sneakers in Navy. The full collection will drop 2014.

Thumbs up from me.
